Business & culture go together. To celebrate the upcoming Year of the Ox, #LetsDoChina, together with Wanlin Academy of Dance & Performing Arts and event partners, are pleased to invite you for a virtual performance.

Every year, communities and families across the world are celebrating Chinese New Year which this year falls on 12 February 2021 marking the start of the Year of the Ox (牛), according to the lunar calendar.

This year community celebrations in some countries had to move online but this also opens up these events to a wider audience.

Join us for the “2021 Sheffield Chinese New Year Gala”, hosted by Wanlin Academy of Dance & Performing Arts, Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Chinese Community Centre, Chinese Students and Scholars Association Sheffield (CSSA-Sheffield).

This event is organized with support from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Manchester, Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield, New Era Development (UK), Beijing Language and Culture University, Nanjing University, LetsDoChina.org.

The event is open to all and will take place on Sunday, 2021-02-07 at 13:00 (GMT), 21:00 (CST, Beijing).

You can watch the live-streaming through the following platforms:

We hope that you will join us, and if you won’t get the chance you can always watch the performance afterwards.

We wish you a Happy Chinese New Year of the Ox!
